Our goal is to recognize In Somalia, all elderly people are treated with dignity and respect, and they receive all the help and support they require for social protection.
Somali Help Age Association (SHAA) is a non-profit, non-political, non-partisan organization based in Somalia, its main aim is to assist & support the most vulnerable & poor older-aged people in Somalia through direct intervention to emergency humanitarian response and improve their social living standards, promote adult education, empower and advocate their basic social, human rights and protections, as well as responding to emergencies.
SHAA was founded on 1st January 2003 after realizing the need for elite back-up in the emergency, recovery & development stages in an out-spoken voice representing the old-aged communities, to promote their civil, political, and social engagement and developments from community grassroots levels.
