Somali HelpAge Distributed Relief Aid to Vulnerable older Persons in Beled Hawa District, Somalia

Today, The staff from Somali HelpAge Association distributed canned milk, dates & cash to around 250 poor and disabled & displaced older persons who live in Beled hawa district and surrounding displaced camps

The relief distribution exercise was attended by the officials from Belet Hawa district administration and they were present during relief distribution as they welcomed the initiatives to support poor older persons in the areas

This relief was intended to support poor vulnerable communities such as displaced and vulnerable older persons and we provided them with cash, milk, dates to enable them to support their lives, our staff was able to reach out to those who couldn’t make it to walk and come to the distribution site and they delivered the relief aid to their locations

This is a donation from the leadership of Somali HelpAge Association that was dedicated to contribute to help the poorest older men and women in the community who have underlying financial difficulties and health concerns.

Somali HelpAge pledges it will continue to support vulnerable older persons in Somalia and appeals to UN and International NGOs to do the same and support directly to the most poorest and vulnerable groups in the community
